Tis’ The Season To Sparkle

Hey loves!

Today is the official start to my 12 days of Blogmas! For 12 straight days, I will be sharing a Christmas related post to help get you in the Christmas spirit! To kick us off on our first day of Blogmas, I will be sharing my Christmas Home Decor! I love shopping for Christmas decor because it's sparkles galore! If you know anything about me, you'll know that when it comes to sparkles or anything glittery, I am all in! I picked up many new pieces this year, so I can't wait to share my finds!

This year my husband and I put lights on our house. We did a mixture of red and green lights and hung them around our roof. Initially, we were going to do multicolored lights but realized the lights we bought didn't come with end plugs, so we hung those lights inside around our front window and used the red and green outside. Below is a small clip I took of the lights on once it got dark.

We also lined our driveway with candy canes this year and placed this Rudolph sign I picked up at At Home next to our Christmas garden flag. I was pleased with the results and surprised that our candy canes stayed put despite the strong winds we had the other day! Of course, Christmas decor is not complete without a gorgeous Christmas wreath. I picked this one up last year from At Home and love the poinsettias on it! I also put out our Christmas mat that I got last year too.

In our living room, I hung this pretty garland I found at Big Lots and had initially thought about stringing lights through it, but I actually like the look of it by itself. In one of our corners of the living room, I put up this small Christmas tree we got from my husband's aunt last year. I decorated it with multicolored lights and ornaments. I filled our serving tray with pine cones on my coffee table and placed this small tree I picked up in the Target Dollar Spot last year. I also found this nativity set at Big Lots and thought it was the perfect addition. It lights up and plays a couple of songs too.

For my kitchen table, I put together this lovely arrangement of greenery and sparkly picks. I found the vase at Hobby Lobby this year and looked for pieces to coordinate with the vase. It just screams Christmas, and I was pleased with how it turned out. In our kitchen, I sort of went with a gingerbread theme. I found this gingerbread nutcracker at Hobby Lobby half off and knew I had to buy it. I love how detailed it is and thought next to our Keurig was an excellent spot for it. Over on the stove, I put this small sign I had from last year on the top and then put this gingerbread cookie tray I picked up this year next to the burners.

On our center counter, it sort of resembles a small village. I put these wood houses from last year out and surrounded them with the rose gold bottle brush trees. I also found this cute countdown at Hobby Lobby and thought it tied the whole look I was going for together. I added the North Pole sign to add a pop of color to top it all off. On the other side of the kitchen, I had a tough time figuring out what I wanted to do. Since I had a lot going on the other side, I decided to keep it simple and just added in a wallflower plugin and a bottle brush tree and surrounded it with a couple of ornaments.

For my office, I played around with some nontraditional Christmas colors. I don't know what it was this year, but I loved all the deer figurines. I picked up the silver one at Home Goods, the white one at Target, and the teal one at At Home. I placed them all around the office and thought the colors all went with the room's theme. I even found a couple of aqua/teal bottle brush trees to put in there too. In another picture, you will see I also added an LED light-up tree on my desk. Overall, the room was giving me enchanted forest vibes and I loved it!

In the bathroom, I usually keep the decor simple. I added a Christmas towel (not pictured) and switched out our wallflower plugin for the snowman plugin. Usually, we have a small sailboat that I keep on the sink, but I swapped it out for the little snow globe instead. Lastly, I hung this blue snowflake ornament my mom got me in here since it went with the rest of the decor. In our bedroom, I didn't get too decorative. I added a glass tree figurine to my dresser and then on my nightstand added this cute sign with a bottle brush tree and our army nutcrackers that Kent got me last year.

Downstairs is where we put our big Christmas tree. I decided to stick with the red, green, and gold theme for the tree this year. However, I did choose to nix the ribbon this year, and I'm glad I did because I think you can see the ornaments and picks better. The only new thing I picked up for the tree this year was the red poinsettia picks, and I have to say, they really made pulled the whole look together. Over on our couch, I swapped out the throw pillows for some Christmas-themed ones and added a decorative throw blanket. On the shelf behind the sofa, I put up the Noel sign and placed ceramic ornaments that were too heavy to go on the tree around it. My husband added in some red and white lights to tie it all together, and I love how cozy and aesthetically pleasing it is!
