Hey Loves!

Today, my husband and I are celebrating our first year of marriage together! I can't believe it's been a whole year already! It definitely snuck upon us. We celebrated over the weekend and did a little wine tasting at a local winery and then went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. It was SO good! I also ordered us a cake from a local bakery here in town because unfortunately, the business we used for our wedding cake did not decorate our cake at all. We had left a cake topper and fake flowers for her to use, none of which were on the cake. Needless to say, we won't be using their services again. However, this other bakery did a fabulous job on our anniversary cake. I've put a picture of it down below :)

As I sit here now, it's nice to reflect on the memories we made this year as a couple. Last year about this time, we were taking pictures outside our venue and I remember the sun decided to peek its head out for a few minutes. I had been worried about it raining the entire day, but God came through for us. We hadn't been inside for more than 2 minutes before it started downpouring. However, I've been told that it's good luck if it rains on your wedding day so looking back on the day now, I feel like we got the best of both worlds :)

I remember as a little girl dreaming up my Prince Charming. Disney Fairytales will do that to ya! However, the reality is better than my dreams. God knew exactly what my heart needed. As a teenager, I remember thinking I knew the type of guy I wanted to be with. Tall, dark, handsome, a bad boy with a good heart, etc. Just your stereotypical teenage crush. God knew better. He sent me an incredible man that made me laugh, and I mean REALLY laugh! A man with a gentle spirit that believes in doing the right thing, someone that supports me and believes in my dreams right along with me, and someone who loves me unconditionally. Never, did I imagine I'd find that guy, but I did and he is imperfectly perfect in every way imaginable. I couldn't imagine doing this beautiful life with anyone, but him. So ladies (or gents), if you are still searching for your soulmate, don't stop looking. They are out there and you'll meet them when you least expect it. I know I did. I love you Chico! Happy Anniversary! I can't wait to see where this next year takes us :)

Love, Brandi
