Kitchen Decor Ideas
Hey friends!
I hope you all have enjoyed your Monday! Monday always feels chaotic for me. Maybe it's because it's the start of a new week, and my to-do list is a page long. Haha, either way, I'm always happy once the workday is over.
Today, I wanted to talk about kitchen decor! In our kitchen, we have room above the cabinets, and I’ve been brainstorming how I want to decorate that space. We currently have some LED color-changing lights strung around there, along with a vase and wine bottle. If we didn’t have the lights I would look into adding some greenery. I think having both would be too much. What do you guys think? Let me know in the comments!
Ideally, I don’t want too many items up there because I hate clutter. However, I would like to add a few more pieces to sort of tie in with what we currently have on display. I forgot to mention we also have a gold clock hanging on the center wall. I’m debating on whether or not I want to keep it there or move it. To help bring my ideas to life, I decided to create a vision board to show you guys what I’m thinking about doing.
I love the idea of having an old-fashioned teapot on display. I think it would look adorable next to some coffee mugs with maybe a vase and a faux plant.
One item I know that I want for sure is a personalized sign. I would either have it say Brandi’s Kitchen or, The Marshall Kitchen. Which one do you prefer?
We already have one black statement vase, but I’m not sure if I should look for other black vases that vary in size to add some contrast. If I find some that go together with the one we already have, I might play around with the idea some more.
On my mood board, I put an inspo pic of a kitchen with a lantern. I like the idea a lot, but I’m not sure if I could make it work with what I currently have. It would be another item I would have to play around with.
Those are the ideas I have as of right now. As you can tell, I’m not entirely sure what I want just yet. I have some more brainstorming to do, but I think a trip to Home Goods is in my future :) Let me know what you guys think, and if you have any ideas to share, make sure to leave a comment below!
