Summer Recipe: Kabobs
Happy Friday, friends!
What are your plans this weekend? Kent and I have some family events to attend, but I think we’ll spend most of the weekend catching up from the long work week. Today, I wanted to share a yummy recipe with you all. During the Summer months, we like to take advantage of the warm weather and make as many recipes on the grill as we can. One of our go-to recipes in the Summer is kabobs! I love these because you can customize them to your liking. Kent and I don’t always have the same preferences in food, so these are perfect for satisfying everyone’s tastebuds! To make them, you will need the following ingredients:
INGREDIENTS
Beef Stir Fry (I get this to save time, but you can honestly get any steak of your choice)
Chicken chopped
1 bell pepper chopped
1 sweet onion
Pineapple chunks
For the marinade:
4 cloves of garlic
2 tbsp dijon mustard
1 tbsp steak seasoning
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 1/2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp extra light olive oil
INSTRUCTIONS
In a large bowl, combine the garlic, steak seasoning, mustard, Worcestershire, lemon juice, and olive oil. Whisk to combine.
Place the peppers, onions, steak, and chicken into the marinade and toss to coat. Allow it to marinate for 15 to 20 minutes.
While your grill is preheating, skewer the steak/chicken, alternating between the peppers and onion. Skewer the pineapple by itself. Once that is done, pour any remaining sauce over the meat skewers.
Once your grill is hot, place the skewers down and immediately reduce the temperature to medium (400 degrees) and continue to cook, occasionally turning until grilled on all sides.
Serve and enjoy!
