2021 Valentine’s Day Decor

Hey loves!

Happy Friday! Today, I am sharing my 2021 Valentine's Day Decor! Now that the holiday season is over, I wanted to take my decor down a notch. I kept things minimal and chose to decorate using traditional reds and pinks since most of the decor I own are in those colors. However, while I was on Pinterest looking for some inspiration, I came across some beautiful neutral themed Valentine's decor. I loved all the creams and whites and how effortless it looked. I liked that it doesn't immediately scream Valentine's Day too. It's subtle and simple. If you're someone that doesn't like a lot of colors, this style is for you!

Alright, so let's talk about how I decorated our home! I started by laying out everything I had and taking inventory. I checked out a few stores, but there wasn't a lot that grabbed my attention. I ended up buying only a few new items and supplies to make my door wreath. One of the items I purchased was this gorgeous pillow from Target's Opalhouse line. I love the colors, and the tassels are a cute touch. I knew it would look perfect on our couch downstairs. It's still cold where I live, so I decided to leave my white snowflake pillows on this couch too. To tie the look together, I added the white throw blanket with the hearts. It was a gift from my mom, and a Target find as well. It's so soft and cozy and adds just the right element. The last thing I did was add the white decor piece and the candle holders to the ledge behind the couch. It has always looked like a heart to me, and I thought it seemed appropriate for Valentine's Day. You can't see it in the pic, but the candle holders are heart-shaped too :)

The next area I decorated was our stairwell. In our stairwell, we have our guestbook from our wedding and a purple/lavender floral arrangement. Purple and lavender were two of our wedding colors, so I added this purple conversation heart vase to that area. It's a simple touch, but I love how it looks! The height difference of the vases adds dimension and makes them stand out more too. The last thing I did was add this adorable banner. I got this last year from Michaels and saw that they had them again this year! They had a couple of other options too.

I also wanted to show you the garden flag my mother picked up for me. She found this cute Mickey & Minnie flag at Hobby Lobby. Being the Disney fan that I am, it only makes sense to have a Disney garden flag for every occasion, right? :)

I mentioned earlier, I diyed my door wreath, and below is a picture of the final product! It's not perfect by any means, but I don't think it turned out too bad for it being my first wreath. I watched a tutorial on YouTube that was super simple to follow along. I'll have a post next week that will go into more detail on how to do this.

In the living room, I added a couple of fun signs. I think I found both of them at the Dollar Tree. Over by our pictures, I put this heart that I found at Hobby Lobby last year. Lastly, I filled our serving tray on our coffee table with these heart-shaped vase fillers and placed an LED candle in the middle. (Decorating Tip: Vase fillers are the perfect way to add some fun decor at an affordable price! You can use them as intended or scatter them around on a tray, table, etc. The possibilities are endless!)

I did not add a lot of decor in our kitchen except for a couple of kitchen towels, and this sign next our Keurig. I didn't have a lot that I felt worked in this particular space. However, I'm thinking next year about buying some clear candy jars and filling them with conversation hearts. I think that would add the perfect element to the room. I would also like to get a three-tiered stand. I've wanted one for a while now because there are so many ways to dress them up, and you can change them up each season.

The last space I decorated was the dining room. I usually have a centerpiece, and this year I used the same flowers I had last year. I placed them on a heart-shaped placemat and filled the vase with and pink beads to add more color.

I will have all the decor I can find linked down below for you if you are interested in purchasing anything for yourself. Let me know in the comments which space is your favorite! Have a great weekend, and I will talk to you all again soon!

Love, Brandi
