Summer Tablescape
Hey everyone!
I hope you’re all having a wonderful weekend! It’s been gloomy here in Nebraska the last few days, but I’ve seen the sun trying to peek through a couple of times today! To brighten things up around here, I put out my summer plates so we can use them for dinner. Do you guys love pretty or cute dishes? I ADORE a pretty dish! My dream is to have a house one day with a formal dining room area. That way, I can display all my fancy dishware. It might sound old-fashioned to some, but I feel like it makes the house homier that way. Plus, how fun would it be to decorate it for the seasons?! Haha, that might be overkill for some, but I could see myself swapping out dishes as the seasons change.
Today, I am sharing two adorable Summer tablescape ideas. I use the term “tablescape” loosely because I have a small kitchen table and can only switch out the plates and placemats. Nevertheless, it’s fun to spruce things up for the seasons.
If you all remember my Spring tablescape, I bought these gorgeous floral plates and placed them on white chargers. For Summer, I decided to use the same white chargers and woven placemats from last season. The only difference is my Summer plates have fruit on them! In the first tablescape, you’ll see the peach plates. I picked these up at Hobby Lobby this year. I thought they were fun and added a pop of color to the table. The second tablescape has lemon plates. Lemons have been my go-to theme for the last couple of years. I think it’s because I love yellow for Summer. Last year, I picked these up at Big Lots and displayed them in my kitchen. However, I thought this year, why not use them for dinner too? I love how these have some blue in the design too. Yellow and blue are such a pretty color combination for Summer!
