Life With Lyla: 3-Month Update

Hey friends!

Our Lyla Brooke is 3 months old! Time sure is flying and I’m trying to savor these moments as they come. Time is a thief, and I hate how quick our baby girl is growing up. On the flip side, I’ve loved watching her reach new milestones each passing month.

Month 3 was a busy one for our girl. She visited the pumpkin patch, watched her bestie get baptized, and met grandpa Bob and grandma Debbie. Although, she slept through her entire trip at the pumpkin patch, she made up for it when we took family pictures later in the month. I was so happy to get pictures of her awake with everyone! :)

This month we witnessed Lyla learning to blow bubbles with her mouth, splashing during bath time (she sure can kick!), and lifting her head more during tummy time! We also noticed that Lyla has learned how to put and take out her pacifier all by herself. It’s amazing how much can change in one day!

Lyla is still doing amazing at daycare! She loves all her daycare friends, and we’ve even been told she’s daycare’s favorite baby. I love how much they care for her, and feel incredibly blessed to have found such a wonderful place.

Our little girl still loves to listen to music just like her mama. She bobs her head to the music and is a big fan of Bruno Mars. We found out she is also a magician! She’s made a couple of onesies disappear before I’ve had a chance to to put them on her. I found out that what was happening was when I would go to lift her to put the onesie underneath her, her foot was getting caught in the onesie and she would lift it off the changing table when I picked her up.

Now for this month’s funny story! On the morning of Halloween, I had just gotten dressed for work and was changing Lyla’s diaper. As I’m getting her cleaned up, she decided she wasn’t quite done, and decided to have a blowout! When I say it went everywhere, I mean it went EVERYWHERE! It was on the walls, her changing table, her dresser, extra diapers, you name it! I guess mommy and daddy got tricked instead of a treat! She was clearly very proud of herself because afterwards she had the biggest smile on her face. :)

We love you Lyla Brooke! We can’t wait to see what month 4 brings!

Thanks so much for reading!

Love, Brandi
