Fruit & Yogurt Swirl Pops
Hey friends!
Happy Saturday! What’s the weather like where you live? In Nebraska, we have been experiencing hot and sticky days! What better reason than to make some homemade popsicles? I recently picked up popsicle molds and it came with a few recipes that I’ve been dying to try! I’ll link the molds I bought here if any of you want to try them for yourselves. My husband, Kent is a popsicle addict. I swear he eats 10 a day, haha. I can’t tell you the number of times I pick up popsicle wrappers around the house. I thought it would be a fun treat to make considering the weather we’ve been having. Plus, is there anything better than a yummy frozen treat on a hot Summer day? I think not :)
So, let’s go ahead and get on with the recipe. I decided to try the Fruit & Yogurt Swirl recipe since it required the least amount of ingredients. You can use frozen fruit or fresh fruit. I opted for frozen fruit to save time. I picked up some strawberries, blueberries, and pineapple chunks so we could have a variety of flavors! Since I did do different flavors, I didn’t follow the exact measurements. I just eyeballed everything. However, if you are doing one flavor then I recommend following it.
INGREDIENTS:
1 lb. fresh or frozen fruit
2 tbsp granulated sugar (only if using fresh fruit)
2 cups vanilla yogurt
INSTRUCTIONS:
Using a food processor, puree the fruit (and sugar, if using fresh fruit) until smooth. Pour into a resealable bag or squeeze bottle.
Spoon the yogurt into a resealable bag or squeeze bottle. If using resealable bags, snip off corners from each. Alternately, squeeze the yogurt and puree into the molds to create swirls. Insert sticks according to directions and freeze overnight.
Tada! How easy was that?! This is a perfect end-of-summer treat if you ask me! I hope you enjoyed this post, and if you did don’t forget to leave a comment below letting me know if you tried this! I hope you all have an amazing weekend! :)
Thanks for reading.
Love,
Brandi
