2021 Memorial Day Weekend
Hey friends!
Today, I am sharing how we spent our Memorial Day weekend, but first, I want to take a moment to acknowledge what this day is truly about. It is a day to remember and honor all the men and women who sacrificed their lives so we could have freedom. We are forever indebted to them and their bravery.
Memorial Day weekend for our family typically consists of getting together with Kent's side of the family. His aunt Penny usually drives up from Kansas, and we spend the morning visiting the cemeteries and remembering our loved ones. Below are a couple of pictures I took of the flowers we laid this year.
Afterward, we went to his family's farm, had lunch, and spent the rest of the afternoon catching up with everyone. It has been over a year since we've seen most of them, so it was nice to get everyone together. One of the trip's highlights was Kent's brother decided to see if their grandpa's old tractor still worked, and it did! He took our nephew out for a ride, and they had a blast.
