Flower Pot Painting
Hey friends!
I hope you are all having a wonderful Monday! Today, I’m sharing a fun Spring DIY you can do by yourself or with your little ones if you have children. May is finally here, and you know what that means… FLOWERS! :)
At work, I am on a committee that plans fun events and activities for employees. In honor of National Gardening Day, we gave employees flower pots to decorate and plant flowers in. I love this activity because it doesn’t require a lot of supplies. For mine, I just went to the craft store and picked up some paint colors, and I was set!
I chose to do an ice cream design, but you can honestly do anything you like! Let your creativity flow! However, if you’re interested in recreating the ice cream design, then continue reading below.
For this design, I used a white paint marker and outlined the melting ice cream pattern. This does not need to be precise by any means. It’s supposed to look messy :) Next, I just took some white paint and filled everything in. Lastly, I painted the sprinkles on, took some brown paint, and made the diagonal lines to replicate an ice cream cone.
That’s it! Super easy and such a fun activity for the whole family to do! I’m thinking of planting a Sunflower in mine, but we’ll see what catches my eye when I go shopping for seeds. Let me know in the comments what you think, and don’t forget to tag me on Instagram if you paint a flower pot too! :)
Love,
Brandi
